MID-YEAR VAC APPLICATIONS OPEN ON 2 MARCH 2026

 

Our MID-YER VAC Programmes are aimed at grade 11 and 12 learners interested in pursuing and university students who are pursuing a CA(SA) qualification. Below are the guidelines of the programmes offered for specific years of your studies. 

 

Young Executive Programme

Our Young Executive Programme (YEP) is for Grade 11 and Grade 12 learners who are considering pursuing a CA qualification. This 2-day programme shows students first hand why Chartered Accounting is a great career option. They will learn more about Deloitte, university requirements for this course of study, a day in the life of an audit trainee as well as some practical life and study tips. Core Mathematics is a prerequisite for admission to the programme. 

 

Introduction Programme

This programme runs over 2 days and really gives you a good idea of what being a trainee is all about, what makes Deloitte and its people special and offers an introduction to our software. This programme is appropriate for 1st year and 2nd year university students studying on the CA Stream. 2nd Year Students who have already completed Auditing as a university module should apply for the Advanced Programme.

 

Advanced Programme

This programme runs over 3 days and has been designed and formulated to give candidates a more practical picture of what a trainee does on a day-to-day basis, build up on the audit software teachings from our Intro programme and get students ready for Field Work. This programme is appropriate for 3rd and final year university students studying on the CA Stream. 

 

Field Work

Field Work is primarily aimed at giving Deloitte students who have completed the Advanced Programme training the opportunity to be part of a Deloitte audit engagement team. The students will assist their respective audit teams with the completion of Field Work out at the client premises and as such, will have an opportunity to meet, work and learn first-hand from current trainees, managers and partners. This programme is exclusively available to students who have completed the Advanced Programme and already have a Training Contract with Deloitte.

NB: If you have attended our Young Executive, Introduction or Advanced Programme, please DO NOT apply to attend again, these are repeat programmes.
